When the mornings don’t feel like you’ve walked into a sauna and when you can make it more than an hour in jeans, you know that Fall has arrived in Florida. While we don’t get too long to enjoy the crisp air and cool breezes, we must take advantage of the fall days! That’s why when James & Amanda came with their fall family photos ideas, we knew just the way to do it!
This sweet family and I met at Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park, FL. Fall has just hit Florida so the pine needles were everywhere giving their photos the most amazing warm feeling. Between the sun set glow, their stunning outfit choices and our setting we scored a perfect 100 with these photos!
When planning your fall family photos ideas, here’s some things to consider:
- Outfits should coordinate, the days of matching are long gone. Picking colors that are in the same family, or compliment each other, will help keep your photos in the vibe you want without overdoing it. Mixing up textures, like satin, velvet, waffle knits, etc will help bring dimension to your photos. Check out this color wheel to get inspired!
- You should stand out in your setting. If you’re choosing a really deep green forest for your background, an emerald green fit isn’t the way to go. Find tones and shades of color that work with your background is key. Pinterest is great for inspiration and you can always ask your photographer for their favorite samples at your location.
- Look isn’t everything! My final tip is that your attitudes and smiles make the photos so much better than how you look. Showing up with happy smiles, extra snacks & water, a favorite toy or music on deck and a can-do attitude will make your session a success.
