I opened instagram on my phone and saw the cutest message from a friend. She was searching for a photographer in Gainesville, Fl so that she could gift her best friend with an engagement session. I was SO excited! Although it did feel a bit like being set up on a blind date.
So the couple and I hopped on my pre-engagement video chat to get to know each other better! Instantly it felt like a match made in heaven. After learning about their daily walks downtown during corona quarantine we knew it was the perfect spot for photos.
Florida rain storms ruined our initial date but we were blessed with the most perfect sunrise during our shoot! Thank you rain!! While we chased the sunrise around the buildings downtown I captured the sweetest smiles and warm embraces between these two lovers.
I couldn’t believe it when these two said they were shy! While I myself am an introvert I definitely know the feeling of having to perform in front of a total stranger. With the help of our video chat, and my incredibly nerdy puns, these two blossomed before my eyes and we got the most genuine smiles.
The hippodrome block is my new favorite spot as a photographer in Gainesville Fl.
Finally, we ended their session with their coffee date at Wyatt’s. This adorable shop had the perfect little plant wall to spice up the photos.
I am so very thankful to have been a part of capturing this season for new friends. I have the best clients ever! Scroll to see more of their sunshine filled engagement photos.
