Once in a while I have couples that make a truly lasting impact. And I am overjoyed that Chase & Chelsie have become life-long friends! As soon as Chelsie announced her pregnancy I had my fingers crossed that they would land back in front of my camera. So we started planning their stunning Washington Oaks State Gardens maternity session.
Undeniably, planning for any maternity session can be challenging. You always have to plan for the unknown when it comes to pregnancy. So when planning your own maternity session here’s some things to consider:
- Maternity photos are best done between 30 – 36 weeks. This is a time when you’re bump is showing but you still feel good to move around. This is also to ensure we don’t run too close to delivery.
- Not all pregnancies are the same! If you are a high risk mama, may deliver early, are having twins or triplets, you know your body best. Schedule your session when you are still feeling good and active which may be earlier in the 22 – 26 week range.
- We’re celebrating YOU, mama. Maternity photos are meant to commemorate this amazing time in your life and all the work your body is doing. This is not meant to add stress to you. We’re here to help with outfits, locations, timing and more. You just get to show up, show off, and enjoy yourself!
Without a doubt, maternity photos are a great little time capsule. They help you freeze a moment before a huge life transition. For Chase & Chelsie this meant remembering what it is like to be Mr & Mrs for just a moment more. Now that their sweet boy has arrived they’re donning new titles of Mom & Dad.
